People only understand from their level of perception

People only understand from their level of perception

I used to be so angry & frustrated when other people didn’t see what I saw. I used to think they were blind. Now, I realized it was because their experience was different from mine. They had a different interpretation from their own understanding. Because we are selective of our own perceptions and choose what we want to believe, we see things differently from each other. I realized that I was wasting my time & energy trying to convince people that they were wrong. No wrong way of looking at things, it’s just what you make of it. ~ Nikka Rose

I learned to let go of the suffering, and started accepting. I accepted that we all learn differently and we all understand from what we know. Not everyone shares the same experiences as you, and you can’t make someone understand something that they have not been through themselves. An example is you don’t know what it feels like to be a mother until you become one. Maybe someone who doesn’t have children would understand what parents go through on a day to day basis, but we are quick to judge them for their lack of parenting. Even parents these days have a hard time understanding their own children because parents come from a place of fear & concern for the well-being of their children & kids complain why they feel like they have no freedom. So, there are two sides of the story, neither is right or wrong. ~ Nikka Rose

There’s a big difference between understanding someone’s plight and being understanding of someone’s plight. Sympathy doesn’t require a total understanding of a person’s issues. ~ Tyler Templeton

Always do what you totally believe is the right thing to do in all circumstances. If people understand you, that’s great. If not. that their problem. ~ Michael Egan

Not everyone has to understand you, stop wasting precious energy explaining yourself to people that don’t care to understand anyway.
